Seminar series: ‘Migration and urban transformation: Boundaries in an age of resentment’
Urban Transformations will be hosting a new seminar series on ‘Migration and urban transformation: Boundaries in an age of resentment’ in Oxford. The series, bringing together a range of leading specialists in the field of migration, explores the current crisis of belonging and its implications for cities. As borders and identities harden, how will these changes play out in urban areas – places traditionally driven and defined by integration, migration and cosmopolitanism?
Spanning different regions worldwide and the pressures facing households, communities and cities in a changing global order, the seminars will take place every Thursday afternoon at the Pauling Centre, 58a Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 6QS between 14.00 and 15.30 from 26 January to 9 March 2017. More details of the individual seminars can be found here.
