The latest in the series ‘Bridging European Urban Transformations’ will take place on 11 September 2017 in Brussels. ‘Scaling Migration Through the European City-Regions’ will explore the seismic changes currently reshaping Europe, including Brexit, austerity, the resurgence of right-wing nationalism and the ongoing refugee crisis, with a particular focus on the increasingly pivotal role that city regions can play in this changing environment. From greater integration to linking citizens more closely with decision-making, a series of experts will discuss in depth their different perspectives on the potential of urban centres as solutions to these emerging challenges.
