‘Cities in Transition: Unequal Innovation in African Cities’
Urban Transformations will be hosting a workshop on ‘Cities in Transition: Unequal Innovation in African Cities’ on 31 January 2018 in Cape Town, South Africa. The event will bring together a range of speakers to explore the continued urban challenges facing the country in the wake of apartheid, from informal settlements and resource scarcity to environmental degradation and spatial inequalities.
The workshop will provide a broad platform for researchers from a variety of different fields and currently working on ESRC funded projects to share their findings with other participants. It will provide the opportunity for knowledge sharing across disciplines and enable urban specialists to learn about emerging, cutting-edge research on the complex changes shaping South Africa’s cities.
