Emma Newcombe is the Head of External Relations for COMPAS and the Global Exchange on Migration and Diversity.
A key part of her role is to the develop the Global Exchange on Migration and Diversity, a COMPAS initiative to open up opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Emma is also helping to develop the ESRC Urban Transformations Programme and oversees all COMPAS’ communications work, including events, website/social media, publications, user engagement and impact activities.
She has an MA in Migration Studies from the University of Sussex and a BSc in Social Policy from the University of Bristol. Emma joined COMPAS in 2003 and before this was the Administrative Secretary of the ESRC Transnational Communities Programme, also based in the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography, University of Oxford.
