UT event in China: City Futures and contemporary urban research

Urban Transformations, as part of its ongoing collaboration with Chinese research institutions, will be hosting a workshop in Beijing, ‘City Futures and contemporary urban research’, on 11-12 July 2018. More details about the event can be found here.

Exploring a range of areas shaping the future of cities, from migration to climate change, the workshop will showcase research from UK and Chinese researchers to explore the different urban futures now emerging, both in China and across the world. The discussions will consider what lessons can be usefully shared between Chinese and global urban development, and the implications these pose for the future city.
