A new blog series by the Centre for Urban Research and Austerity (CURA) – the findings so far

The Centre for Urban Research and Austerity has launched a new series of blogs outlining the latest findings of its ESRC-funded project, Collaborative Governance Under Austerity: An Eight-Case Study. The project, focusing on Athens, Baltimore, Barcelona, Dublin, Leicester, Melbourne, Montreal and Nantes, explores the impacts of the contraction of local government and public spending in different cities in Europe, Australia and North America.

Following on from an initial series last year, the series has so far featured an introductory piece by Dr Jonathan Davies, the project’s Principal Investigator, followed by detailed case studies of Baltimore and Leicester. Further articles on other cities will follow shortly. More details on the project can also be found on CURA’s website.
